Guarana (Paullinia Cupana) is a shrub belonging to the Sapindaceae family, on which grows a red-orange, sometimes dark yellow fruit. In phytotherapy and traditional medicine, it is customary to use the seed of the fruit. This seed contains high concentrations of guaranine, among the highest in the world. Guarana is rich in guaranine, but also in multiple active ingredients: polysaccharides, tannins and minerals. It also contains multiple vitamins, essential fatty acids and alkaloids.
It has very powerful revitalizing and energizing effects (1). Among the many health benefits of guarana, this plant promotes weight loss because of its effects on fats. This plant is used throughout the world to fight against fatigue, but also to improve sports performance, among autres things.
Origine and manufacturing method
Guarana is a plant native to the Amazon. Our organic Guarana is native to the north of Brésil, and it is one of the few to come from wild strains of the plant. As for the rest of our food supplements, it is manufactured, packaged and controlled in France, in an ISO 22000 and GMP certified laboratory. To make our food supplements, we use the fruits of the shrub, and more precisely their seeds. Dried, then reduced to powder, they are a real concentrate of active ingredients, and in particular guaranine. It is above all the action of this molecule which is sought: it is very similar to caffeine, but its action is rather different and remains more prolonged in time.

Posology
The Guarana in food supplement is taken in a punctual way, in order to fight against the temporary tiredness, or in a continuous way. It can be the case during a food rebalancing, for example. The posology is the following: to take six capsules of Guarana in the day, distributed between the morning and midday. Because of its guaranine content and its stimulating effects, it is necessary to avoid taking it in the evening: there is a risk of disturbance of the endormissement and the sleep in the event of late catch. The duration of a cure should not exceed four to six weeks. Also respect a sufficient break between two cures (two weeks minimum).

Side effects and/or undesirable effects
Overly prolonged courses of treatment can lead to addiction, just like coffee. For this reason, the courses of treatment must be controlled and limited in time.
Undesirable effects can also appear such as agitation, heart palpitations, gastric irritation or insomnia.
At high doses, Guarana consumption can cause nausea and vomiting, headaches, confusion, nervousness or dizziness. To avoid these inconveniences, respect the recommended doses.
